budget requirements; leadership development and topical roundtables will be incorporated
into the content of this workshop.
Come enhance your skills and network with Weed and Seed Communities from across
the country.
The Community Capacity Development Office (CCDO) works
with local communities to analyze and solve public safety problems, and foster local
leadership to implement and sustain those solutions.
CCDO uses a strategic three-pronged approach comprised of direct grant assistance,
training and technical assistance, and program development including promotion of
partnerships and best practices. Grant assistance is provided through its flagship
program, Weed and Seed - a holistic collaborative approach to law enforcement, crime
prevention, and community revitalization.
CCDO efforts provide a platform for other priorities including Project Safe Neighborhoods,
ex-offender reentry initiatives, drug control, the Anti-Gang Initiative, Faith-based
initiatives, Public Housing Safety initiative, and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance.
